The reason why the slogan on this poster is written in Russian is that originally these words were pronounced by a Russian. As the Soviet propagandistic legend says, the phrase "There are millions of us, you'll never hang all" was said by the partisan-girl to the Nazi officer before her execution through the hanging. She fought against Nazi invaders by sabotage, but not so successfully - she was taken prisoner. In Soviet times this girl and similars to her were considered heros. At present they are the same still but not so bombastic. Each time and each ideology have their own heros. But sometines they pronounce the same words. |
